Dr. Matthias Ullrich
Matthias Ullrich is responsible for the development of traction battery technology at Volkswagen AG. Since 2000 he has been involved in various R&D activities for battery systems in HEV, PHEV and BEV for VW.
Between 1994 and 2000 he worked at the R&D Center of VARTA Batterie AG in different positions. He was in charge of Li-Ion cell predevelopment and later managed the NiMH battery pack development.
Matthias Ullrich studied physics and received his PHD from TH Darmstadt in 1993.
